    South Kensington Museum Events in London

    Just 6 years after the success of The Great Exhibition in 1851 and based on the suggestion of Price Albert, The South Kensington Museum as the first of a series of educational establishments was opened to the public. The museum was intentionally designed in form a factory with iron used both for the frame of the structure and also the cover. Although the museum events was doing well but the people used to talk of ugliness and sardonically called it “Brompton Boilers” because it looked like two steam boilers next to each other.
